Abstract: Different analytical and numerical models are often used to predict the elastic properties of composite materials. However, accurate predictions and quick elasticity of composite materials in micro-scale is still more of challenging. In this study, the application of different analytical models such as: Rule of Mixture, Halphin-Tsai, Chamis are presented to predict the mechanical properties of composite materials. Then, finite element analysis (FEA) is used to verify the results obtained through Square RVE and hexagonal RVE models. This study focuses on evaluating the elastic properties of composite materials with the polymer background reinforced by the fiber distributed cyclically in a certain direction at a different volume fraction of fiber. We proceed to predict the mechanical properties of materials with a volume fraction of fiber from 10% to 70% using a microscale approach. In addition, this combination also provides a convenient platform for optimizing material design and composite geometry with different algorithms to solve a variety of problems in predicting the complex mechanical properties of composite materials. Finally, a computational software was developed to quick predict and efficient the mechanical properties of this complex materials. Compared with other studies, this study shows the possibility of high application in order to predict more accurate for composite complex materials.

Abstract: This article on Al Farabi seeks to introduce the reader unfamiliar with the political thought of classical Islam, to one of the most relevant political thinkers of the Golden Age of Islam. Al Farabi was called the "Magister secundus", that is to say the most brilliant mind after Aristotle. The depth of his intellect placed him as the most important thinker of his time and the second most important in all of history, according to the Europe of the Middle Ages. His book on the Virtuous City was ahead of its time with the proposition that rulers should seek the happiness of their subjects. The theme of happiness arrived to the universities, and some of the most prestigious ones founded their own Centers for Happiness. In fact, the theme became one of the main preoccupations of the international organizations. The General Assembly of the United Nations itself in its resolution 66/281, decreed back in 2012, March 20 to commemorate The International Day for Happiness, as a way to recognize the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal aspirations for all human beings. In addition, it puts political thought above religious thought because it is more scientific. Al Farabi managed to displace religious thought, relegating it to second place after political thought, the only one that allows reaching the truth. Religious thought does not seek the truth, but to establish immutable truths that are not based on scientific reasoning, but on faith. For this reason, we can consider that with Al Farabi, the Political Science is introduced in Islam. His legacy is so deep that after him, Political though in the Islamic World changed definitively.

Abstract: Instructional strategies is a key element in intelligent systems when tutoring. Research questions were formulated to guide the study. A descriptive study research design was adopted for the study. It makes simplification adopt texts and promote comprehensiveness among students. It takes place in all educational levels, evaluating learning objectives, comprehension be achieved. Also, it provides pedagogical accommodation to learner proficiency levels and skills. The adaptability and sustainability of instructional strategies lies on the authenticity of the materials utilized. The teacher must create a truly learners centered classroom to adequately utilize instructional strategies. A structured and validated instrument was used to elicit responses for this study. In establishing the reliability of the instrument, 0.67 co-efficient was gotten showing the instrument was reliable. Simple percentage and mean rating was used to analyze the responses from the research question. The results showed that non-availability of Shorthand labs, inadequate level of expertise is one of the challenges mitigating maximal utilization of content based instructional strategies for the academic performance of Shorthand students in Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos. Recommendations were made amongst them is curriculum planners should increase the number of periods allocated to business studies and students to be well motivated so that their interest in Shorthand will not be deteriorated.
