About This Special Issue
Many European countries are doing exceptional efforts, directed towards the quality of performing health services and improving patients’ safety, regardless of the characteristics of their health care system. The findings of World Health Organization (WHO) show a high degree of patient safety risk and an exceptional potential for reducing errors, which can lead to considerable financial savings and better results for the patients. The issue of patients’ safety is becoming ever more important in the health systems over the world, not only in EU countries. The influence of digitalisation on application of patients’ complaints enables quick and effective interaction with health care personnel and efficient control of introduced changes. This special issue is an extended survey of advanced research in EU countries in the field of patients’ complaints and of new approaches for increasing health care users’ satisfaction and structured improvement of the quality of health services in health care institutions. This special issue will present an improved view of advanced research dimensions in the field of improving patient safety. The collected original scientific papers will discuss innovative approaches to effective reduction of patients’ complaints and present opportunities for health care improvement.
